@123qwerty The back of a commercial aircraft is the safest place you can be. Check out some accident reports and pictures. Planes tend to break apart in sections and aft section is usually intact. Of course this isn't true 100% of the time but if you are going to be in a crash and want a chance of survival I would recommend the back.

Bought one of these for my V Strom and it was such a waste of money. Reasons being is its very hard to find a comfortable position because the seat feels like its moving on you constantly. By this I dont mean the seat itself is moving but rather the air pockets take a few seconds to adjust to even the slightest movement which is very regular on a bike if you ride it right. Its very noticeable when cornering. Also once you park up somewhere its a real pain to put it away every time.

I purchased a couple of these and I do not find it works very good. I just came back from a 4 day road trip and after the second day I had to take it off the bike. After two days of trying to adjust it to work well I got fed up with it. After a day of riding I was still sore in the same places, my inner thighs and bottom of my butt. I find that the more I took air out the more vibrations I got on my nuts. The two air cells in the front should be smaller. My wife likes hers though.

I've been a motorcyclist for a long time. My wife just bought us a couple of these cushions, and they're really great. I wish I'd have gotten one long ago. I am an airline pilot, and the seats in the cockpit of a 757 is not very ergonomic, and they are all very worn from being sat in 12 hours a day. I just took my bike cushion on a 3 day trip that had two coast to coast flights, and it was like sitting on 37,000 feet of air cushion! This thing goes with me everywhere from now on!

Perfect for Recaro car seats too. I just got back from a round trip (1200 miles total) in my Subaru WRX. Before leaving, I thought about getting a regular seat cover from Roho but none would fit in the flat part of the Recaro seat. So I thought about the one on my Burgman. I fits perfect. I used it and had no pain during each of the 600 mile drives (10 hours). I simply got out of the car and no pain. Great accessory.

I just got back from a run from Shrewsbury, England to Valencia, Spain on a Kawasaki Z1000. With my new Airhawk seat the whole journey was an absolute pleasure. No back ache, numb bum or legs. My recently purchased used Suzuki Burgman 650 came with an Airhawk (Large). In almost 30 years or riding motorcycles I have never used a cushoin of any kind. I always just lived with the stock seats. I wish I'd known about the Airhawk a lot sooner! This thing is awesome. I rode 5 hours last weekend and not once did my butt complain. The aihawk is so comfortable that I bring it inside my home and use it in my computer chair too!

I've adjusted mine several times since I've had it. Sometimes I put a little more air in, sometimes I let it out.... depends on the road's I'm riding. Just did a 300 mile in one day on both highway and secondary roads. It was the first time my thighs didn't go numb or have to dismount after 50-70 miles to walk around. Added benefit, while parked in the sun for hours, it didn't fry my rear when I got back on the bike.

This is definitely one of those things that needs to be adjusted very precisely. It's a good thing that it's so easy to adjust. My real riding season doesn't really start for another 1-2 months so I haven't gotten in a hurry.

Retrodog63...... You may have it a bit over inflated if you're getting that much shifting.. I use mine in the twisties with no problem...and no real "shifting". I only have mine inflated to where it raises me up about 1/2 inch. Being female and usually over cautious, If I felt any danger in using this pad in curves, I wouldn't keep it on. But again, you may have it a tad over inflated......just my thoughts.

The rubber type surface on the bottom holds it to the seat really well. The cloth on top is excellent for minimizing moisture from sweating (summer here in Houston so that's important). There's a bit of shifting on curves and starts/stops to get used to but not bad. And it feels great when cruising. I plan to use it for normal riding on trips and then quickly remove it for fun on curves. Best of both worlds.

My initial impressions and thoughts: Seems like a very nice and well built unit. Adjustments are easy. Adjustment valve is like a valve stem on a tire. You can easily loosen and tighten it good enough with one hand while sitting on it.. Then you need to use two hands to hold the stem and tighten the valve with the other. The ride was really nice with it. I tested it out on Friday and Saturday. I think it will work great for my needs. More details to follow...

I would assume you could fix a leak, I have never heard of one leaking yet though. As for the water, you would have to check with the manufacturer but I would not think it would be very good... Should temps get too low at night, then your first ride in the morning would be pretty uncomfortable with an ICY butt. Plus the water wouldn't pass through the portals as quickly so you would have a slower response with the individual cells.

Yes, you can "fix" it if U ever get a leak. I comes with a repair kit. It's very sturdy and constructed well. No, water would not be as effective as air. I wont ride my bike without my Air Hawk. It eliminated the pain and leg numbness I experienced. I can ride all day in total comfort.

Thanks for the great video, I needed a seat pad and did not want to spend 100's of dollars for a brand new seat for the bike not knowing if that would do the job. However, child safety seats were invented because other children did get injured and did die in car crashes when you were a child. That is exactly right. This wasn't a planned shoot, and I had never been to Rich's before. I just showed up to have my seat done, and had brought a small video camera along. If I could have disconnected that thing, I would have; It drove me nuts. When Rich watches this video, he looks towards the door every time he hears that chime. LOL!

Good question. I can only speculate on the answer. I think part of that fitting exercise is to get the seat angles right for where your thighs are on the seat. I did ride the bike for twenty minutes with my Aerostitch on. I noticed two small areas of discomfort, one of which Rich solved by further shaping. The other factor turned out to be the suit itself; it can bunch up in your crotch. Once I "self-adjusted," the ride was perfectly comfortable. For a better answer, call Rich: 866.328.9774

Cheap Seats was a fairly amusing show. Regrettably, they threw in random skits (much more prevelant in the last season) that were usually not very funny. It was almost hit or miss with the comedy. They could be pretty damn funny riffing a game, but then they go into these non-sensical, ridiculous comedic sketches that fail to work and be funny. I can kinda see why the show was cancelled.

wow great job! I did my r1 the old fashion way by buying a few sheets of vinyl from my local fabric store.I too used a hair dryer and my trustee staple gun. It came out pretty cool although there's one corner that's kinda crumpled up, barely noticeable. Your seat came out dead nuts though.Perfect fit too!

The 3M does help because you don't want any shearing from riding. But just be careful. That stuff is TACKY. Thre is surprisingly little shrinking. So stretch it out good and it should get a nice tight finish. I've done two so far (my 500 and my 250), and pulling a tad tight certainly doesn't hurt. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

Super Video,,,,, I have a 1996 SEADOO GTX whose seat cover needs replaced. I bought the cover material. Removed the old cover but didn't know where to start. your way of starting in the middle is a good start. And using a Heat Gun/Hair Dryer is a must. But I'm going to recruit my wife so I have an extra set of strecher hands. And I'm using an air compressor staple gun. It saves on the muscle power. Thanks for sharing your video,,,,, JACK*
