@bcopp I was there in Dallas too. Siobhan was the showman for sure. Crystal was pretty good but , She should not have worn that split dress that had shown her poor ol' knobby knees, I am sorry but not very flatterning. Siobhan on the other hand was pretty damn hot lookinig. She was thrashing all about and her pompadour hair doo came down into a wicked wonderful mess. She held that last note on Painted Black for nearly 20 seconds. What lung power !

@bcopp Hey, thanks. Too many people want to get on here and throw out the "hate". I actually went to a concert (as you did also) and I am only telling my impression as I seen it. Hearing things "leveled" and what not on tv is ALOT different than seeing these performers in a live setting... I'm glad I'm not the only one who had problems with some of the perfomers abilities contrary to their place in the results. They might be good in a studio but playing live could hurt them.

I do agree with you that she shouldn't use the scream too much and would actually prefer it if she makes a more classical type album like HOTRS or Wicked Game. That doesn't seem likely though because she seems determined to return to her old band....

@origins1965 I'm going to defend Crystal here, I really do think she is genuine, open, and now she has perfect teeth! Both Crystal and Siobhan sounded screechy SOMETIMES in their higher registers, but I really enjoy both of them usually. BTW, I LOVE Siobhan and believe that in her own way she's the best to ever compete on American Idol (I doubt I'll be watching next year). This performance was IMO one of the best of the year and so underrated it's appalling!

As for the American idol tour, unfortunately I can't make it due to my work schedule, but when Siobhan tours behind her cd's, I am definitely there. Keep the punky style and rock influence though! I think the way she left Idol was as good as it gets, she held her composure, gave a great performance and immediately went down to the audience to hug her family. The way she said goodbye to the judges was also very poinant. I cannot remember any prior contestant doing what she did and it was very memorable.

Siobhan takes my breath away. As much as I enjoy Lee and Crystal, they really don't hold a candle to Siobhan. Her voice is stunning throughout a wide range. I appreciate the her lower register as much as those incredible high notes. Her phrasing is impeccable. She really owns the songs she sings in a way that rarely happens on AI. The show lost any interest for me when she left. She was the only singer with a creative approach to her songs. I wish her only the best!

@XxAvRiLxFaNxX I know where you are coming from, but prior to Idol Siobhan was a talented unknown singing with some local bands around Cape Cod. Idol allowed a bright light to be shone on her and all of us took notice of a raw, talented singer with a luminous personality and who performed fearlessly in the competition. I think the bitterness comes from the way she was treated by Simon and Kara and how this may have led to her early departure.

Mary Poppins in movie version was bad to as she created a wind to blow the other Nannies away. Why would she want to think about Gorey book of 26 kids being done in? @vkenv agreed. It's not a scream, but can be very unpleasant. She can sing, but I just think she needs some direction on how to control her voice. Hopefully she will come into contact with the right people after her fortune of being on AI to help her career. She's interesting to watch, so has a lot going for her more so than others with a great voice, but not as interesting to watch. I thought Crystal's voice was amazing, but wasn't impressed by her personality or stage presence.

She's got an amazing voice, but needs help to control the voice.Xtina A. has an amazing voice, and knows how to control it so it sounds beautiful in the high notes, and not a scream. I can't believe Siobhan Magnus was cheated due to the phone number on her facebook page was the phone number of Aaron Kelly. FB id#266023071895 I think this gave Aaron Kelly most of Siobhans votes and this isn't fair. The number was never changed even when we complained and told them to change it on her fan page. It's simple, Siobhan needs to look back at where she shined on AI. Stop singing ballads. She rocked on "Living for the City" - I know she thinks she can sing like Whitney Houston, but she doesn't shine. Go back to being a rocker - that's your personality, that's your voice, that's your uniqueness. If everyone recalls, Simon was disappointed that she didn't have a scream in the song right after her first song. Like a good trooper, she put it back in, in the next song, and Simon complained. I'd say continue to scream, but don't try to hold the world's record... just do it a little longer than most... just a little longer. IMO, it would be a travesty for Crystal to beat out Siobhan.

As far as why Simon isn't being fair, my guess is that he is pushing for Crystal. For two reasons... first, he probably sees her as someone he can manipulate as far as his $investment. And second, because he is not from the USA. Living down south, Crystal is a dime a dozen but she's better than most. Siobhan is truly unique and Simon has her tagged as a typical CA airhead. All points to Simon's lack of USA culture.

Yeah I suppose Simon thinks opera singers scream too. He is not being fair to Siobhan. Who knows why? We can't figure it out. He also didn't seem to mind Susan Boyle "screaming". And Siobhan is a lot less scary to look at .

She is very talented and a great girl, but singing Stockholm Syndrome will be one of the, if not THE biggest mistake of her career. Muse is an incredibly hard band to cover well, especially when you've got a band traveling with you that isn't accustomed to that sort of style of music. I love her, and her other song choices, but that's a really bad idea.
